Prof. Christopher T. Hines joined the faculty of Northern Illinois University College of Law in 2010. Professor Hines received his BA in History, cum laude, from Yale University in 1998, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and his JD from Columbia Law School in 2002, where he was an Editor of the Columbia Journal of Asian Law. He is an experienced corporate and securities attorney, having represented numerous clients in domestic and cross border transactions at Morrison & Foerster LLP in San Francisco, Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in the District of Columbia and New York, and Nishimura & Asahi in Tokyo. Professor Hines's scholarship focuses on the intersection of corporate law and legal ethics, with a particular focus on matters of securities regulation, legal history and comparative law.
