Prof. A. Zen Umar Purba is a partner of the renowned Indonesian law firm ALI BUDIARDJO, NUGROHO, REKSODIPUTRO (ABNR) in Jakarta and teaches at the faculty of law of the University of Indonesia. His rich experience in legal drafting includes extensive work for various state departments. From 1999 to 2002 he held the position of Director General of Intellectual Property Rights at the Department of Justice and Human Rights, Republic of Indonesia. From 2002 to 2005 he was the Chairman of the Indonesian Capital Market Arbitration Board. He is also a member of the Experts Team of the Attorney’s General Office. Apart from intellectual property rights, Prof. Purba also specialises in investment and capital market matters, corporate law and environmental law.
